The 2026 AGM of the Great Eastern Railway Society will take place on Saturday 14th March. With the unavailability of our former venue, this time we shall be at Shenfield Parish Hall, 60 Hutton Road, Shenfield, Brentwood, Essex, CM15 8LB. Shenfield railway station is a short walk from the venue but we know there will be rail disruption on the day, so please check before you travel. There Is very limited parking actually at the venue, so if you have a Disabled Badge and need parking please book a space in good time (07939 567838, or secretary@gersociety.org.uk).
Arranging to broadcast effective sound and audio “live” via Zoom has proved very challenging in the past, so this time the set-up will be less ambitious and there will be no Zoom broadcast. Recordings of the speakers will be attempted. Because of the challenges presented by maintaining external links, only votes placed in the hall on the day can be recorded.
As you will see from the Agenda, we have four excellent speakers booked.
